Garage rock might have been just a precursor to the hippy good-time vibes of the late ‘60s, but you’d never guess that given the current collaborative environment. Boundaries are blurring between different geographic and musical scenes in a way that wasn’t the case to a lot of these artists’ fifty-year-old influences. One of the best examples of this cross-pollination is the album Hair, the recent meeting of psychedelic minds Ty Segall and Tim Presley (a.k.a. White Fence).
