Before we talk about the Big 12, let's look at the top ranked squad. To no one's surprise, USC crushed Hawaii 63-17. Heisman trophy winner Matt Leinart threw for 332 yards and three touchdowns. The Trojans looked good as they start their quest for their third consecutive national title.

The Longhorns had said throughout the postseason that they do not dog-pile unless they win it all. Well, all of that pent up emotion came spilling out Sunday afternoon after J. Brent Cox struck out the final batter of the College World Series, and the Horns mobbed one another in a massive pile of bodies near the pitcher’s mound.
