You might have already known that ground(ctrl) has helped Transmission Entertainment the last couple years with web presence, fan engagement and ticketing for Fun Fun Fun Fest, but this year marked a special breakthrough for the company. In addition to managing tons of heavy lifting in the background, the LA-based team also handled ticketing and check-in in a completely new way, using proprietary software to make festival check-in faster than ever.

Fun Fun Fun Fest Complete Lineup: Wavves, Dirty Projectors, Suicidal Tendencies, MGMT & More
We've been leaving you breadcrumbs for weeks about artists that we know are performing at Fun Fun Fun Fest this year, and the time has finally arrived to deliver the whole enchilada.
Breaking: Fun Fun Fun Fest Lineup Leaks
Suicidal Tendencies' hard hitting aural onslaught was a favorite of metal and punk fans alike back in the day. Now a new generation (and old fans, of course) will get to witness the California band's mayhem live in concert. Lights...Camera...Revolution! from 1990 should be a staple of every heavy music connoisseur's iPod rotation, we reckon. Next up, we're thrilled that oft-controversial rapper Slick Rick (or Richard Walters) will be bringing his novel gift for storytelling and hits like “Treat Her Like A Prostitute” to Waterloo Park. Offering up legendary artists at each edition has truly become a Fun Fest tradition, if not a trademark. Let that take nothing away from the third Fun Fest performer to be revealed today, Best Coast. Although a very new act, it's safe to say that their irresistible melodies could fit in in any generation. The brainchild of Bethany Consentino, Best Coast will surely shed plenty of sunshine at this Fun Fest, regardless of exasperating dust storms or unending downpours. Here's to Fun Fest 2010 -- may it be another unforgettable addition to Austin, Texas' rich chronicles.
Guided By Voices! Eastside Drive-In! This September!
In this stumbling economy, vacations and trips really aren’t an option at the moment for many of us. News of that huge Matador show in Vegas was exciting, but the tantalizing thought of catching the recently reunited legends Guided By Voices in concert, was just that. A thought. Thankfully, our friends at Transmission Entertainment are here to ensure that no Austinite that has had long-standing relationship with GBV’s melodies should miss this momentous occurrence. After all, most reports indicate that this may well be a one-time reunion and a fairly short tour.

Le Diamant Brut Fun Fun Fun Edition: Experimental Dental School & Parts & Labor
This Portland trio playing Fun Fun Fun Fest gets points for accuracy on the name for sure. They have an indie experimental noise sound that sometimes lands on the side of the sharp and jarring, not too much unlike a fist full of shiny metal picks and tools about to probe around your gum line.

The Dead Milkmen are a legendary punk outfit known for their snotty, satirical lyrics and jangly, jagged punk rock guitar sound.
Austinist Show Giveaway: Learning Secrets Presents Riton @ The Mohawk this Saturday
When we caught up with Ian Orth in April, we discovered that he had big plans going forward for his Learning Secrets entity. True to his word, Orth and Learning Secrets deliver a blockbuster party this Saturday in conjunction with Transmission Entertainment at The Mohawk. Besides having a stint at the DJ booth himself this evening, Orth also welcomes fellow local DJ Abominatron to take a stab at the beats. But the ace up the sleeve is British DJ and producer Riton (pronounced Ree-ton) who has wrought dance parties all across the globe and collaborated with artists such as Erol Alkan and Soulwax.
