The newly reopened Trailer Space Records on Rosewood is continuing to offer music both on record and in your face. This evening, two wired Austin punk bands and one Florida power pop group will hit up Trailer Space for an instore.

It's hard enough being in a band and worrying about people ripping off your sound, or ripping your album off the internet, without also having to worry about your musical gear getting ripped off as well. Sadly, that's what happened to our own When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth. Whoever stole their stuff no doubt has a karmic ass-whumping coming to 'em, but for now, the band's pals have stepped in for a benefit show at Beerland to offset some of the cost of buying all new shit.

Hey look, here are more free, unofficial showcases comin’ at ya, involving pizza, RanchO RelaxO, and Trailer Space Records, though not necessarily in that order.

OK, so it's not exactly charity, but it's a great cause, nonetheless. Trailer Space Records is, was, and will soon be again, what Austin is best at: grassroots music aesthetes making and promoting their - and others' - wares. If you check out their Myspace, you'll see endearing entreaties to bands on the run, asking them to think coming to play at the little blue building "next to a middle school."
