Titus Andronicus brought their appropriately angst-ridden blend of Americana, indie and punk rock to Emo's Thursday night and Austinist photographer Trent Lesikar caught it all.

Titus Andronicus at Emo's [Show Preview]
New Jersey rockers Titus Andronicus bring their indie-punk, shoegaze sensibilities to Emo’s tonight. The band features the combined musical powers of Patrick Stickles (vocals, guitar), Amy Klein (guitar, violin), David Robbins (keyboards, guitar) and Eric Harm (drums). Titus Antronicus is a name taken from one of Shakespeare’s early plays, which indicates the band’s obsession with tragic stories and literary influences, which obviously play into Stickles’ epic song crafting.
Snapshots: Titus Andronicus at Emo's
New Jersey's Titus Andronicus brought their literary, historically-minded, energetic live show to a raucous Wednesday night crowd at Emo's. Photographer Trent Lesikar was there to capture the action.
Titus Andronicus at Emo's with YellowFever, Whitman [show preview]
Composers of epic, scream-along songs full of heart and the expelling of lungs, Titus Andronicus are a New Jersey five-piece who are hitting Emo's outside stage tonight. The band's latest album The Monitor came out on XL Recordings this spring, which is described by Wikipedia as "a concept album loosely based on themes relating to the American Civil War." Heavy.
Music: Los Campesinos! and Titus Andronicus Get Loud At The Parish Room Tonight
The Welsh band Los Campesinos! are young. Not Hanson young or anything, but they were playing between classes in 2006 at Cardiff University, so precocious, to be sure. This pasty and feisty collective of seven men and women wowed crowds at the Filter party and the Arts + Crafts showcase at last year's South By Southwest, and now return just under a year later to promote their recently released LP We Are Beautiful, We Are Doomed.
Austinist Presents: Titus Andronicus, Los Campesinos! [@ the Parish Room Friday Night]
We’ve been crushing on Los Campesinos! since they appeared in 2006, but 2008 was definitely their year to shine. They managed to squeeze out two amazing albums, Hold on Now, Youngster
; and We Are Beautiful, We Are Doomed.
We’re already dusting off our dancing boots in preparation for Los Campesinos! coming to town January 30. And we’re oh so proud to be presenting this performance along with 101X. It’s all going down at the Parish, where New Jersey natives Titus Andronicus will join in as support.
This Friday In Loud Stuff You Shouldn't Miss: Titus Andronicus @ Mohawk, Totimoshi @ Red 7
Two bands with funny names that start with T, both playing at venues booked by Transmission Entertainment? Who else smells a conspiracy here? At Mohawk, the up-and-coming quintet of New Jersey hellions in Titus Andronicus bring their much-heralded set of raucous anthems to the indoor stage. Titus have drawn comparisons to both the Velvet Underground and the E Street Band, so expect art-school angst and blue-collar catharsis in generous supply. Beforehand, local heroes The Midgetmen stir up punk, indie, and psychedelia into their own slurry brand of "slop-rock."
