LA's Mae-Shi are dilettantes of experimental electronic-noise-funk-rock, employing all manners of instruments - "guitar, bass, drums, tamborines, noisemakers, computer programs, omnichord, glockinspiel and voice", among others - and "staccato bursts of rhythm" to create something wholly original and, well, unsettling.
