We have discovered yet another wonderful entry in the “if you’re too tired or broke or claustrophobic or agoraphobic to make it to ACL” music alternatives. La club and radio DJ Paul V. will be airing his Smash Mix of ACL indie bands on Indie 103.1FM tonight at 7:30pm. Mix and Tracklisting: Flaming Lips vs. Massive Attack - Unfinished YeahYeahpathy (DJ Paul V. mashup) Deadboy & The Elephantmen - Stop, I’m Already Dead Muse -......

It's entirely possible that you aren't at all interested in wandering around Zilker dehydrated and lost all weekend, but there's no reason to worry: there are plenty of things to do and shows to see this weekend that have nothing to do with wristbands or sunscreen. Most notable is the Filter Party at Beauty Bar featuring The Presets, I Love You But I've Chosen Darkness and The Secret Machines. In addition to the MSTRKRFT......

Well, I can't quite believe I'm finished. Last night I posted the few remaining previews, which means that for the second year in a row, I have previewed each and every act performing at the Austin City Limits Festival. I couldn't have done it without help though, so once again, I would like to thank John, JD, Jeff, Chris and Becky, who each contributed guest previews to help me finish my project. I would......

We just read a leaked report of the ACL Fest Lineup, to be officially announced on Thursday. The report comes from Dallas Observer entertainment guru Robert Wilonsky. As we said, this is just a leaked report and therefore considered a rumor, but this source is about as good as they get. Of course, we hope there are a few more of our favorites coming but won't hold our breath. Have a look for yourself......

We’re not sure exactly what happened. We remember music, vodka, more music, sore legs, even more music. But the details have all bled together in a beautiful disaster of a memory, a passionate four-night stand that left us spent yet somehow wanting more. It was our first SXSW, the twentieth for Austin, and hopefully the beginning a fantastic March tradition of depraved boozing and beats. It all started Wednesday when we got stuck in......

SXSW.com released an updated lineup for this year's SXSW Music Festival earlier today, and it's one hell of a list. All of this information is subject to change." International acts include: Masahiro Nitta, DMBQ, Ellegarden, Tsu Shi Ma Mi Re, PE'Z, The Emeralds (Japan)......

Waterloo Records is having a special midnight sale tonight for those of you who are too impatient to wait until tomorrow to pick up new albums by the White Stripes, Coldplay, the Secret Machines and more. We're not sure whether "sale" in this case means significant early-bird discounts on CDs, or simply that they're making their employees work longer. Either way, we'll be there. We never sleep.......

By the second day we were veteran navigators of Empire Polo Field, site of the Coachella Music Festival. Today started off with Los Angeles-based Autolux, currently out on tour with the Secret Machines. Noise-pop isn't our cup of tea, but clearly it was for many others as they managed to pack the massive Mojave Tent and have people crowding around the various openings. They were followed by the UK's Kasabian, now enjoying freakishly enthusiastic acclaim......
