A little after 8 o'clock on Saturday, the Texas Longhorns will be cruising to a victory over outmatched University of Louisiana-Monroe. Colt McCoy and most of UT's other stars will be resting on the sidelines while subs and first-year players mop up in what is little more than an organized scrimmage. With its announcement of the complete schedule for the upcoming season, the Texas men's basketball team left little to be desired, as the calendar includes dates with three of 2009's four national semifinalists.

This morning, Austin City Limits Festival organizers released the schedule for 2008. The lineup, featuring acts like Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, Spiritualized, Foo Fighters, Beck and Manu Chao, is notable this year thanks to its extremely strong middle section (the "heat of the day" section, as we like to call it) and offers acts like MGMT, Patty Griffin, Hot Chip and Duffy, as well as two quip-worthy local acts, Okkervil River and White Denim.
