Hopefully you didn't skip your daily jog on the trail today so you could rush home and make dip for your debate viewing party. If you did, you missed the opportunity to share your famous french onion recipe with (temporary Austinite) Senator Obama while he got in a gingerly stroll.

Even those still rooting for under-underdog Ron Paul have something to look forward to: the ten-term Congressman is coming to UT Austin this Saturday for a massive rally at the Main Mall. "Although he is behind in delegate numbers and poll support, Ron Paul says he intends to continue the race as long as his supporters finance him," wrote Chris Robertson, Event Coordinator for this weekend's event.

Senator Barack Obama delivered a rousing speech to thousands of die-hard supporters this past Saturday at the Backyard, touching on just about every hot issue at the core of next year's election debates. Pledging to shut down Guantanamo, restore habeas corpus, and renew the hunt for Al Qaeda, Obama stressed the need for a stronger international agenda and quoted Kennedy's famous inaugural address—"Let us never negotiate out of fear, but let us never fear...

We tried to take it all in, circling around the booths bundled under Austin Convention Center many, many times. However, it really is impossible to experience everything thing unless you dedicate at least three hours to paint a Carlo Rossi jug, sew a sweater at First Samples, watch the runway show… and then, of course, shop! The latter was easy....
