Like most attendees, our biggest frustration with last year's Austin City Limits Festival was the wretched dust cloud blanketing Zilker Park after the first day. With tens of thousands of people milling about and the daytime highs between 98-107 degrees, everything was worsened by the fact that the park was already suffering from drought-like conditions. We were lucky enough to be handed Robyn Ludwick’s debut album, For So Long. Listening to her melodies and songwriting, we hear a stunning talent and unique voice. Reading her bio shows that music runs in the family - Robyn is the lil’ sis of the Robison clan (brothers Bruce and Charlie), but her gift is all her own. Her rich warble, deep evocative writing and well honed phrasing are pure and honest. This is how we like our folk-singer-songwriter-country-roots musicians.

Robyn Ludwick performs there. Robyn is releasing her first CD, For So Long, amidst great praise and label interest. Former True Believer, John Dee Graham appears on the album. The record release party begins at 8 p.m. and also features special guest Danny Barnes.
