Owing only to a handful of limited edition singles and mp3s floating in the ether, the soothing blissed-out pop of Pure Ecstasy has recently enjoyed national attention. They’ve caught the careful eye of video producers Yours Truly (who filmed the band playing at Aquarius Records in San Francisco) and the turned-up noses at Pitchfork. The band hails from right here in Austin, and features Nate Grace on guitar and vocals, Jesse Jenkins on bass and backing vocals and Austin Youngblood on drums.
