Clinton campaign seeks to control local caucus sessions?

• For those who are watching from home but don't have access to CNN, local PBS affiliate KLRU will be airing the debate on tape-delay, starting at 9pm

• Chelsea Clinton will speak at ACC’s South Austin Campus tomorrow morning at 9:45am. The event is free and open to the public

CNN today announced that Campbell Brown, NBC News' White House correspondent during President George W. Bush's first term and host of a new prime-time news program that's set to debut this month, will anchor next Thursday's debate. CNN chief national correspondent John King and Univision anchor Jorge Ramos will serve as panelists asking questions of the candidates during the debate.

Monday's memorial service will be held at the Erwin Center at UT Austin. KUT 90.5FM will also be broadcasting a live internet stream from the center, beginning at noon. Please refer to their homepage for more details.

Long before we had to suffer through the bumbling speeches, disingenuous double talk, war mongering and religious-right pandering of George W. Bush, Americans enjoyed two terms of prosperity under the leadership of one of the smartest, slickest and most controversial presidents of the 20th century. Historians and citizens alike may remember President Bill Clinton for his extraordinary successes, think first president to balance the budget in 30 years, or they may remember him for his public failures, think health care. But, undoubtedly, his legacy will live in the minds of many due to his private mistakes which, unfortunately, became part of one of the ugliest political battles in recent history. Regardless of his place in history, no one can deny the powerful story of a boy born into the most humble of beginnings in Arkansas only to become a 6-term Governor of Arkansas and 2-term President of the United States.
