Riding on the coattails of E.A.S.T, Baltimore-based, art-rock act Ponytail bring their spastic garage project to Cheer Up Charlies tonight with Chainsaw, Ghost Party, and Storm Shelter opening. The four-piece band of art school friends draw comparisons to Deerhoof and Ecstatic Sunshine, and have been described as a “sugar rush.” They’ll surely fit right in with the eclectic scene at the kombucha cafe/east side hot spot.
