Longtime Austinist photographer Steve Hopson is always out taking photos, sending us shots of everyone from the teenage heartthrobs Hot Chelle Rae to indie darling Merrill Garbus of tUnE-yArDs during FFFest. For this new feature, we're going to look way back into Hopson's portfolio, in the tradition of and in tribute to Chicagoist's "From The Vault of Art Shay" retrospectives. City Approves Condos at Barton Springs and Dawson
After years of dormancy and abandonment, the old Treehouse restaurant and nightclub -- a swinging joint back in the 80s, now an eyesore in a prime development location -- will finally be replaced with something new. Construction on the project -- a high-end, luxury condo building called 1155 Barton Springs -- will begin by the end of this year.
