A scandal two years in the making over at Austin City Hall may finally be reaching critical mass. On July 20, one Bill Moriarty, the former head of the Austin Clean Water Program, filed a lawsuit against a virtual who's-who list of local urban developers: Development firms PBS&J, Malcolm Pirnie, Owen Consulting, CH2M Hill Inc., Parsons Engineering Science, K Friese & AssociĀ­ates and Hey Cister! As though the personal trainers at Pure Austin weren't awesome enough already -- and by "awesome" we mean "intimidating" -- one of them is attempting to set a new world record next Monday as a fundraiser for some less-than-fortunate local kids. On July 10th, fitness specialist and triathlete Shawn Bostad will embark on a twelve hour run on a treadmill and attempt to beat Martin Tighe's record distance of 85.83 miles.
