On August 31, 2008 The Human Race charity 10K organized by Nike was run in cities around the world, including here in Austin. In the Men’s division, Bernard Manirakiza originally from Burundi, Africa wons the race with a time of 31:51. In 2nd place, Gilbert Tuhabonye also from Burundi finished a little over a minute after his cousin Bernard with a time of 32:56.
