Anytime over the next three weeks we invite you to visit the Barton Springs spillway, where, while wading in dog piss and dodging abandoned Lone Star tall-boys, you can join us in chuckling at families sporting towels, ear-to-ear grins and National Championship t-shirts. Watch them walk anxiously over to the gates of Barton Springs pool, only to be greeted by an unwelcoming CLOSED FOR CLEANING notice, stenciled on a tattered wooden sign. City of......

No one has had their fame stripped away from them in such short order as UT quarterback, Colt McCoy. The red-shirt freshman out of Tuscola, Texas had the enormously unfortunate job of replacing the most famous (and entertaining) Texas football athlete of the modern era--Vince Young. As that January 4th hangover started to wear off, Texas fans were uncertain as to who would replace VY during the preseason, McCoy or true freshman Jevan Snead.......

The bidding apparently started at about $7,200 and is now at $10,599. The auction ends in about 60 hours, so start rolling your loose change and head on over to Cheapo with your old cds. [from......

A couple of years ago, some people were quietly rapping Vince Young for not having the intelligence to play the position in football that is most demanding on a player's smarts. All of those concerns seemingly went out the window as Vince took the Horns to an undefeated season and National Championship last year. Well, the doubters are back. Apparently (or allegedly) Vince scored a miserable 6 (out of 50) on the Wonderlic test......

So, apparently there is a huge football game tonight. In fact, it is the first time since 1970 that the Longhorns will be playing for a National Championship. In other words, so long ago that about 65% of the UT faithful have no recollection of that specific event. With that said, expect one crazy mutha-scratchin party if the Horns win tonight. Now the question is: Where to watch the game? We have attached a......

*Photo by Dallas Smith* The University of Texas and its fans have been waiting for this day for 35 years. The Longhorns destroyed the Colorado Buffaloes in the Big XII Championship Saturday in Houston, securing their first 12-0 season in history and a place in the National Championship in January. After squeaking by then-#4 Ohio State on the road in the second week of the season, Texas finally got the Oklahoma monkey of its......

The Longhorns had said throughout the postseason that they do not dog-pile unless they win it all. Well, all of that pent up emotion came spilling out Sunday afternoon after J. Brent Cox struck out the final batter of the College World Series, and the Horns mobbed one another in a massive pile of bodies near the pitcher’s mound. The Longhorn defeated the Florida Gators 6-2 on Sunday, sweeping the Gators in two games......
