One of Austin’s more eccentric (and thus awesome) annual traditions, Misprint’s Beard and Moustache Contest marks its fifth year this weekend. Hosted by comedian Matt Bearden and featuring music from Salesman and DJs Andy the Mouth and DJxHC, the competition promises to bring hirsute males from all over the world eager to prove themselves the king of facial hair. Prizes will be provided by Austin Books, Freebirds Burritos, Austin Homebrew Supply and, um, Birds Barbershop (among others), but seriously - is winning as much the point as communing with one’s fellow facial hair fanatics?
