Goudie has been writing, performing and producing in Austin since the early '90s, and though his luck has been something plenty of bands probably turn green over, he's still looking for the last break into the lexicon of household names. Being discovered by Lars Ulrich at SXSW years ago, signing to Electra, and tours with Veruca Salt, Blur and Supergrass filled the bulk of the '90s before Goudie (the group) broke up and Johnny went on to pursue a solo career.

It’s murky dreamland indie pop, and it’s local. Light, pillowy vocals in catchy choruses spill over bright keys and guitars that lift you up right into the clouds. They’ve released four LPs since 2006, which is kind of impressive, and their latest one is called Things I Am Guilty Of. They’ve also been working on an EP, which should arrive soon.
The Mohawk on Friday is going to be absolutely busting out with music, as one of their patently awesome two-stages-for-one-ticket deals hits the scene. Getting the big print and final time slot on the two stages are Elf Power and Belaire, but they're just small pieces of what looks to be a good long night of song. So we'll break this down all methodical-like so you won't have to worry about missing anything, and you'll finally learn the wonderfulness that is six live (and actually quite good!) bands for less than an Alexander Hamilton.
