After Van Halen, Bruce Springsteen, Radiohead, and Jay-Z all elected to skip Austin on their spring US tours, it's not unreasonable to feel that our music-loving town seems to be off the radar of the arena pop and rock circuit. This despite a perfectly functional (if rather dated) basketball arena smack in the center in town. Thankfully, the Louis Vuitton Don Kanye West agrees with you, and has elected to show Austin some big-production love with a date here at The Frank Erwin Center in late April....

Pinkies up, people. With the Domain’s opening, we now have a Neiman’s, and a Louis Vuitton, and a Tiffany’s, and that’s all very fancy, we’re sure. Boutiques are opening, changing or moving everywhere you look around Austin. We found these when we hit the streets this week: Guys into New York’s streetwear look will love Complete Clothing. The men’s boutique carries limited-edition and independent lines geared to people in their 20s, says owner Zaul Zamora. Look around and you’ll find Crayola-colored hoodies, patent-leather sneakers (easier to clean but crease, Zamora says) and graphics-heavy T-shirts from Los Angeles, New York, London......
