Tonight, the Mexic-Arte Museum will celebrate the opening of their 13th run of their annual Young Latino Artists exhibition. YLA 13: Everything's Going to be Okay features the work of Latino artists under the age of 35 who hail from all over Texas. The show focuses on work that challenge traditional mediums and reexamine aesthetic and social norms. Everything's Going to be Okay attempts to illustrate "how moments of vulnerability can turn into our greatest strengths". The show's curator, Leslie Moody Castro, looked for art in a wide range of mediums that represented the personal experiences of the artists, not merely their ethnic or cultural histories.
