Way back in September 2006, we reported that some guy on a Jet Ski stumbled across a concrete-filled barrel with human remains spilling out of it out on Lake Buchanan. Nine months later, the identity of these remains has now been revealed. It looks like this week's discovery of human remains at Lake Buchanan has taken on a decidedly gruesome twist: initial reports only indicated that the body was happened upon somewhere along the shoreline, but it now turns out that the remains were embedded in concrete and hidden in a 55-gallon barrel. Last week, some guy riding a personal watercraft on Lake Travis stumbled onto the remains of a prehistoric skeleton embedded in the clay soil. Archaeologists excavated the remains, along with arrowheads ("darl points") and other makeshift tools found nearby, estimating the man or woman to have lived anywhere from 1,000 to 2,000 years ago.
