The Return of Soulhat!
Before the ubiquity of the internet and cell phones, there was a time called the 90’s. (I am sure some of you remember them.) And ushering in that decade and waving the banner for the new Austin music scene was the funkified, rocked-out sound of a band called Soulhat. Led by guitarists Bill Cassis and Kevin McKinney (killer vocalist), with a solid, driving groove laid down by bassist Brian Walsh and former Funkadelic drummer “Frosty” Smith, Soulhat blew the roofs off of clubs across the country throughout the early and mid-nineties with their unique sound.
