Javier Arista, a 25-year-old local musician/writer/actor/performer extraordinaire, was diagnosed with a brain tumor in September, and is currently undergoing expensive chemotherapy and radiation treatment in Dallas. Like so many artists here in Austin, Javier does not have health insurance. In an effort to offset the cost of his medical care, Javier’s closest friends have organized a benefit concert in his honor at Arts on Real, which has graciously donated their space.
