Though not a household name, Thomas Dolby was nevertheless among the vanguard of the early 80s synth movement. Born Thomas Morgan Robertson, Dolby acquired his nickname from his love of studio experimentation with keyboards and electro-noises. Run, don't Segway, to the HRC for the current exhibition Shooting Stars: The Golden Age of Hollywood Portraiture, 1925-1950. The exhibition runs till April 3rd and we think it's worth your time. We love the soft lighting on those angular faced beauties of yesteryear.
