Austin's annual Fashion Freakout extravaganza returned for its fifth year last Friday at Mohawk. Local vintage staples, including Prototype Vintage, Buffalo Exchange, and Charm School Vintage, all hit the runway with their models and stylings.

Fashion Freakout, Birds Barbershop's 'BFF' Ladies Night Both Tonight
Last year's first-ever Fashion Freakout, held at the now-defunct United States Art Authority, was so successful that we couldn't even find parking in the area. Tonight marks the second installment, and promises to be even bigger and bolder as the event organizers—Prototype Vintage Design, New Bohemia, Buffalo Exchange, and 'Laced With Romance'—have taken the catwalk collaboration to The Mohawk. A giant runway show, featuring vintage-influenced clothing and accessories for both sexes, will be interspersed with DJ sets by Tweedy, McNeely, and Bigface, plus a special performance by Hacienda. The show starts at 9 p.m, but we recommend getting there when doors open at 8 p.m., as this one will sell out.
