The Environmental Protection Agency announced today that they are sticking with their ethanol requirements. This after our esteemed Gov. Perry requested that the EPA waive renewable fuel standards. Gov. Perry was supported in this request by Bo Pilgrim of Pilgrim's Pride, who, along with other meat producers, doesn't like the effect the current ethanol quotas have on the price of feed. But it looks like all the lobbying was for naught, as our nation's love affair with ethanol continues to grow. [NY Times]
