Recycle Your Christmas Trees
We've only ever had fake plastic trees for Christmas - which, invariably, stay up till August - but those of you with giant pinetrees rotting away in your living rooms might consider dropping them off at Zilker Park. Come mid-January, they'll be recycling the lot and grinding them into mulch, which you can then get ahold of for free. We grew up in the midwest and come late September we could count on crisp fall weather and leaves changing to vibrant colors. Autumn has always been our favorite season but here in Austin it just never seems to get there. Is it strange to get giddy over the possiblity of wearing our scarf?
