You may remember last year was a bit sticky for the Horns vis-à-vis getting an invite to the BCS. There were issues surrounding who voted for whom and, of course, the very public politicking by Coach Mack Brown. His pleadings, and probably the fact that the Horns were a better team and a better draw, got the Horns into the Rose Bowl. The funny thing about winning is it changes everything. Now, instead of Mack looking like a politico who says all the right things and is full of fake sincerity but remains a guy who can not win the big one, Mack has become a sincere, genuine, lovable, leader of a family of players who can win the big one. Ah, the fates are fickle. Regardless of how you feel about him, you have to admit he is a pretty sharp guy with a good mind for public relations. more ›
