We here at the Austinist hate corporate globalization as much as the next guy, so last night we made sure to catch a screening of The Take at the Alamo Drafthouse. This documentary follows a group of Argentine workers who decide to take over their factories after their owners have shut them down claiming bankruptcy. Written by Naomi Klein (No Logo) and directed by Avi Lewis, the film does a good job of portraying the workers’ struggles at the peak of the economic decline in Argentina.
