For the first time ever, Fangoria is bringing their Weekend of Horrors event to Austin. A pantheon of famous horror movie actors and directors, including Austin's Robert Rodriguez, will be appearing/speaking/signing autographs (IN BLOOD - just kidding) at the convention locale, the Renaissance Austin Hotel....

After a long, hot summer, it’s time to check out Austin’s new fall fashions and get in the mood for shopping. Tribeza’s Fourth Annual Style Week is right around the corner—Wednesday through Sunday, to be exact—and there are plenty of fun events open to the public. Style Week is kicking off with a happy hour at By George’s South Congress location, where you can nibble on goodies from Cissi’s Market and peruse the flirty fashions.......

Details are still sketchy, but you can already buy tickets for the Austin edition of Fangoria's Weekend of Horrors, happening January 18th-20th at the Renaissance Austin Hotel. As of right now, the only confirmed guests are Tom Savini, Jared Padalecki and Harry Knowles, but organizers have wrangled some cool guests for previous, non-Austin events, so we're hoping to see a few high-profile additions in the coming months. Mercury Design Studio is raffling off eight I'm Not A Plastic Bag canvas totes, designed by Anya Hindmarch to encourage recycling. These limited bags are already sold out in major cities.
