You Had Us at "Pie"

You Had Us at "Pie"

Royers Round Top Cafe has discovered more fame this year since the Deen boys stopped by for their show, Road Tasted. The Cafe's site has the story of how that show has led them to start selling their pies at Whole Foods' Austin locations, how they needed more space to make more pies, and how they hooked up with American Youthworks and Meals on Wheels and More to do just that. This weekend, to celebrate this new partnership (entitled the Royers Round Top Cafe Austin Pie Empowerment Project), the Cafe will be holding a Pie Drive-Through. Starting yesterday and through Saturday afternoon, the Cafe is selling pies at three Austin sites. You can purchase their dangerously sweet Cafe's Sin-Nammon Ring (so powerful we've been told there's a warning sign for diabetics on it), their pumpkin pie, original buttermilk pie, and more. You can feel good about your purchases because not only will they will taste wonderful, but part of your money goes to these two local non-profits. Plus, buying a pie through this drive-through event will be less expensive than getting it through mail-order. more ›
