Contributing

Although we only occasionally send out calls for contributors, Austinist is always on the lookout for bright and talented individuals to join our team. If you're interested in contributing as a writer or photographer, drop us a line.

Submit a brief bio and a few short writing samples relevant to the section(s) you're interested in covering. We cannot accept submissions that are sent as attachments, so please include your work as part of the body of an e-mail. Please understand that it may take us a while to respond.

Flickr Pool

If you'd like to share a photograph with us to accompany one of our future posts, please either tag it "austinist_stock" or simply "austinist" on flickr. Please don't submit photos directly to us, as they tend to get lost in the shuffle.

Sponsorships

Austinist provides media sponsorship for a variety of festivals, readings, and other events throughout the year. Additionally, we organize two large annual parties: Local Music is Sexy during the fall and spring, and Gonna Gonna Get, Get Down in mid-March. Each is a showcase of the best regional and national/international bands, respectively, that we're most excited about.
