Film & Wine: Alamo Drafthouse Unveils New Wine Line at Princess Bride Event

With an expert blend of humor, romance, fun and booze, the Alamo Drafthouse is hosting a Princess Bride Quote Along Feast in honor of Valentine’s Day and will simultaneously roll out their new signature line of wine.

The Bottle of Wits (get it?) features an Inconceivable Cab and As You Wish White (both very tasty, we’re happy to report); the wines will be unveiled for the first time at these special screenings and will accompany a decadent meal inspired by the most goofily romantic movie of all time.

Tickets for the Feb. 14 shows are already sold out, but the Alamo has added two additional screenings on Wednesday, Feb. 15. Tickets are $60 for the four course, wine-infused, inconceivably entertaining evening (did we mention it’s a Quote-Along? There will be swordfighting), and these last few seats are sure to go quickly.

The Signature Wines will be served at all Alamo Drafthouses beginning on Valentine’s Day, and bottles will also be available to purchase online soon. This particular Princess Bride edition will available throughout 2012.
