ARTCRANK: Call for Entries

ARTCRANK, a bicycle-inspired poster art show that is seeking to change the way people view bicycles while fostering a cycling community, is on the hunt for thirty local artists for their first Austin event. These shows have been held in bike-friendly cities including Minneapolis, Denver, Portland, San Francisco, and London. In addition to improving the image of urban cyclists, each show also raises money and awareness for organizations such as LIVESTRONG, Bikes to Rwanda, and People for Bikes.

The submission deadline for this bicycles, bike riders, and bike culture-themed show is December 31, 2011 and each entry must include three digital samples of previous work. Artists will be announced in early January, and the show will open the last weekend of February with an opening night party and an extended run at a location to be determined.
