Food + Drink: La Boîte To Open Second Location On Congress

Good news for those in the downtown area: a new location of La Boîte is slated to open October 24 at the Old Bakery Building at 10th Street and Congress Avenue.

The signature "boîte" (or box), made out of a shipping container and designed by Mark Meyer of DesignStudio Modern, will be used once more in the construction of the second location of the café.

La Boîte will serve its coffee and tea to the downtown area and will bring a few other treats along, such as freshly made Parisian macarons in seasonal flavors, sandwiches made with local ingredients from purveyors such as Dai Due and Full Quiver and of course, Barrie Cullinan's much-lauded pastries.

In an area that has mourned the loss of Little City, a local business that sells a good cup of coffee and a top-notch pastry will surely be appreciated.
