JMueller BBQ To Open On South First This Saturday
John Mueller has confirmed on Twitter that the opening date for his newest enterprise, the JMueller BBQ trailer, will be Saturday, October 8, at 2 p.m. The trailer will be open until they sell out of food.
According to the blog Scrumptious Chef, the late start was set so that UT football revelers wouldn't miss one play of the big OU game.
Mueller is well-known by many barbecue-loving Austinites for his Manor Road venture that closed five years ago.
Scrumptious Chef also reports that Mueller's menu this Saturday will consist of brisket, pork ribs, sausage, turkey breasts, pork loins and a good selection of sides, including squash, pinto beans, potato salad and cole slaw.
Mueller's venture hit a small snag in late September when it did not pass a fire marshal inspection due to propane tanks that were placed too close to the door of the trailer. It was reinspected October 4 and passed.
