Music News - DeathStarrs and Pumpkins, Chaos, Frank
- After finally releasing their debut album Colour Trip this year, Ringo Deathstarr are making it official by trekking to Europe with none other than The Smashing Pumpkins. The string of dates run from November 2nd to December 8th, and we expect during that time that the two bands will bond over a love of producer Alan Moulder, "swirling guitars," and the sweater in the photo we attached to this post.
- Timmy Heffner has announced today that "chaos in tejas will again be the first weekend in june next year so May 31st to June 3rd. see you all then i hope."
- Austin Music Minute host Laurie Gallardo is hosting a residency at Frank this month, and no, that doesn't mean she'll be singing karaoke for a few hours every Tuesday for lucky guests/confused patrons. Instead, she's doing the next best thing and holding acoustic shows featuring two artists each week starting at 9pm. Today the series kicks off with Bill Baird and Devin James Fry of Salesman. Full dates here.
- Jared from the band The Zoltars sent us an email today, which said, in part: "We recorded an album that tells a story, and my brother made a film for it. You can check the video out here." We're paying it forward.
