Two Gallants Reunite for Tour [Show Preview]
Following a two year hiatus, Adam Stephens and Tyson Vogel have reformed as Two Gallants to take their dueling guitar-drum act back to the road for a summer tour that stops in Austin tonight. The San Francisco-based boys are childhood friends that had been playing music together for years before officially forming their folk-punk two man show in 2002. Together they have released three LPs (2004's The Throes, 2006's What The Toll Tells, and 2007's Two Gallants) reflecting their specialized craft in blending emotionally-torn lyrics rooted in blues sensibilities with aggressive punk-inspired instrumentals for a lively, heartfelt experience (see: "Steady Rollin'" and "Las Cruces Jail").
Although both Vogel and Stephens released solo projects during their hiatus (as The Devotionals and Adam Haworth Stephens, respectively), they've confirmed rumors that this tour will lead to new material and a forthcoming record last month. Be sure to come out to Mohawk tonight for a preview of things to come.
This time around they're bringing their friends, The Mumlers, to open.
