For those of you who have gone whole hog on the bacon bandwagon, Bacon, the freshly minted eatery opening up shop today in downtown Austin, could be just your cup of tea. The pork-fueled grand opening starts at 7 a.m. and runs all the way until 11 p.m. Swing by for your bacon fix, or at least consider stopping in for breakfast, which they serve all day.

Menu offerings include bacony classics like BLTs and wedge salads as well as more playful plates like bacon waffles and bacon cookies. Assorted bacons will be available every day at $2 a "thick slice" for those who want to explore the wide world of bacon more thoroughly. And, in a bit of Austin-style innovation, the bacon-themed restaurant has vegetarian and vegan options, so you can even drag along friends less prone to frying up pork products.

The grand opening is happening now, complete with free Bacon t-shirts from Sanctuary Printshop all day.
