Texas Craft Brewers Festival
Saturday, September 24
Fiesta Gardens (2102 Bergman Avenue)
$8 and up, 2-8pm
[info] | [tickets]
The Texas Craft Brewers Festival is back on the scene, much to the joy of area beer lovers. This year's festival will feature 18 craft breweries from around the state, showing off more than 75 different beers with brews ranging from the rare to the never-before-seen to be tapped hourly throughout the event.

In addition to the bevy of breweries, the festival will feature live music and on-site local food vendors. Free non-alcoholic beverages will be provided for designated drivers.

Tickets start at $8 with packages of 8 sample tokens running $12, but homebrew heroes and other diehards may want to spring for the VIP package, which includes early access to the festival, a meet and greet with the brewers, a commemorative pint glass (made of real glass), and a festival program and t-shirt. Keep in mind this shindig is 21 and up.

The festival is a non-profit event organized by the Austin Young Men's Business League and benefiting Austin Sunshine Camps, which provide outdoor experiences for economically disadvantaged children and youth. So, you can feel good about spending your day swilling beer in the sunshine, because, really, you're just thinking of the children.
