Seth Sherman Tonight at Club De Ville [show preview]
A talented singer/songwriter has a knack for soothing the soul, which may be a perfect respite from this everlasting heatwave. Quit the hustle, slow down, and stumble into Club De Ville tonight to catch the humbling, introspective lyrical anecdotes and sweet jams of Seth Sherman. The singer/songwriter/guitarist composes twangy, finger-picking songs that sit on the fence between folk and classic rock in the vein of M. Ward, Dawes, and The Tallest Man on Earth.
Sherman's debut album When The Moment’s True showcases his delicate lyrical expressions. The album is currently streaming on Bandcamp and is set for an official release this October.
After mastering the record as a solo musician (recording each instrument, one at a time), Sherman assembled a touring band with Austin's own Drew Schlegel (bass), Dieter Ray Langendorf Geisler (keys), and Steve Anderson (drums). The boys have just returned from a mini-tour, which selectively visited Denton, Dallas, Baltimore, and Brooklyn. Tonight's show at De Ville will feature a woman's touch with special guest vocalist Devon McDermott on harmonies.
Seth Sherman and Drew Schlegel will also be opening, performing as fifty percent of local rock band Haunt.
