Drinks: Bill Norris Named New Beverage Director Of Alamo Drafthouse

When Bill Norris announced on Twitter that he was moving on from Haddington's and had an "exciting new opportunity" ahead, cocktail-o-philes were abuzz with where he would land next.

As it turns out, the Alamo Drafthouse snapped up the 2008 Texas Regional Cocktail World Cup Champion and made him their beverage director. Norris will now begin creating beverage programs at all Alamo Drafthouse locations, as well as The Highball.

Norris is famed for the time he spent at FINO, where he helped catapult Austin's interest in fine cocktails. His work creating top-notch drinks at Haddington's has been recognized nationally.

Says Tim League, CEO and founder of the Alamo Drafthouse, "Bill is passionate about what he does and is the perfect person to help us make sure that every liquid consumed at the Alamo and The Highball is delicious."
