Also, San Antonio's Backbeat music magazine is expanding into Austin, and they've got a big 7th Street block party planned for the 9th of next month. Heads up.
Monday:
Catch Paperhead and Rayon Beach at the Mohawk, or watch highlights from the "Scott and Gary Show" at the Music Monday screening at the Ritz.
Tuesday:
It's your last chance to see a show at the North Loop Parlor, which is closing for good. Bands playing include some surprise guests alongside bands like Extreme Fajitas and Shit Creek. Also - Emmylou Harris and her amazing pretty hair come to ACL Live.
Wednesday:
Ancient VVIsdom do an acoustic happy hour (5-8) set at the Mohawk, La Snacks play Red 7, and Quin Galavis has a release party at the Spiderhouse Ballroom.
Thursday:
Kingdom of Suicide Lovers and No Mas Bodas play the underrated Ruta Maya venue, and Shells play Emo's. Also - Gin Blossoms at Antone's.
Friday:
Rosebuds play the Parish, and do a Waterloo Records instore at 5pm. Goth alert: My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult at Elysium. Exploded Drawing hosts their sixth installment at Baby Blue.
Saturday and Sunday:
Rubble are headlining a Beerland show on Saturday, and Sky Saxon gets a tribute at Red7.
On Sunday, peep Eastern Conference Champions and My Education at Emo's.
