After a day with dad, head down to Emo’s (inside) to cut loose with Brooklyn-based trio Ninjasonik (Telli, Jah-Jah and Roofeeo). The art house, indie-rappers have been stirring a buzz since 2007 with their performance art turns dance party mash-up--fusing punk, hip-hop, and electro-pop in a style akin to Cool Kids and Spank Rock , while noted influences include Sir-Mix-A-Lot, Slick Rick and the Sex Pistols. Sounds pretty crazy, right? Well, check out their hip-hop/post-punk remix of Matt & Kim's "Daylight."

Their sound is reminiscent of early hip-hop artistry that has reemerged in present-day Brooklyn. Ninjasonik energize, excite, and connect with their fans to invigorate and ultimately ignite a crazy dance party, or perhaps a hot, sloppy "Mosh Pit," as suggested by their new single from their forthcoming album Peter Pan Syndrome, due out September 20.

Austin's own national freestyle rap champ, ZEALE opens.
