Roll up your sleeves and sling on them jorts. Time to talk music.

Monday: Wooden Birds are playing at Mohawk today at 5pm, and ornithology addicts can continue their study with a Lovely Sparrows gig tonight at the Mohawk.

Tuesday: Mole People, Bike Problems and more play the Parlor, and Widespread Panic play their first of two shows at the ACL Live venue.

Wednesday: It gets loud tonight with Young Widows at Red7, and the Rumble at Beerland commences with Beautiful Supermachines, Chronolung, and Milk Thistle.

Thursday: Folk and insurgent country get a kick in the crotch at a Beerland show featuring Black Eyed Vermillion, Ralph White and more. Folker Paleo is playing the Hole in the Wall with Reverend Glasseye and friends. Read about Paleo's monster "song a day" project here.

Friday:

They're back: Horse + Donkey play the Parlor with Bitter Birds and Sad Accordion. Explosions in the Sky play ACL Live, and the Church of the Friendly Ghost kicks off their NMASS festival.

Saturday and Sunday:

Early on Saturday, local synth-dude Xander Harris plays a 6pm gig at End of an Ear. Psychedelic-electro group Bali Yaaah preview their new EP Never Early Always Fate at Skinny's Ballroom.

On Sunday, Zeale plays Emo's with Ninjasonik and guests.
