Five (6, 7, 8) Things! [Reading Preview]
As school winds down and summer heats up, head to the Spiderhouse Ballroom this evening to catch the latest installment of Five Things, the delightfully quirky, homegrown reading series hosted by witty writers extraordinaire, Amelia Gray and Stacy Muszynski.
Taking the mike this time around are readers Brittany Callender, Rachel Glaser, Audra Schroeder, Colin Winette and Steve Moulds who will share prose and poetry related to popular songs that may or may not be on your iPod (Color Me Badd, anyone?). An appropriate theme indeed from the city that brings you ACL, Fun Fun Fun Fest and SXSW.
Get there at 7:30 to catch the pitch-perfect set and stay for the intern-sponsored musical tribute to Cantera Real Estate and other “surprises.” Save your gas money (the event is free) and spend it instead on a Tecate tallboy (or two, depending on the playlist).
