Shop, Craft, Be Merry: "Shop Crafty" at the Marchesa

Shop handmade, get crafty, and support a local charity in one fell swoop this weekend at Shop Crafty, presented by The Lone Star Ladies. Shop Crafty replaces the Ladies' annual Shop Austin show, and while it still features their signature hand-selected vendors, there's a bigger emphasis on getting crafty for vendors and shoppers alike.
Get down and DIY at one of the two craft lounges, with demos from The Stitch Lab and The Wondercraft. Tutorials for making oil cloth bags and fabric flowers seem especially intriguing.
Those with tax money burning a hole in their pocket will delight in handmade ceramics, jewelry, pet ware, journals, body products, and more - all from local artists and crafters. Check out the full vendor list to start planning your shopping now.
The event will also feature a raffle (with items donated by vendors themselves) that benefits Crafting Comfort, a local organization who provides hand crafted gifts to comfort those in need.
Shop Crafty is a one-day only event, from 10-5 at the Marchesa - home of the famous Blue Genie Bazaar. Tickets are $5 at the door, with proceeds going towards Crafting Comfort. Tickets are also available buy-one, get-one-free when you purchase online.
