Austin is lucky to have such a thriving comedy scene, and while we’d love to keep our favorite performers all to ourselves, sometimes they have to spread their wings and fly. Literally. This month, stand up comics Amber Bixby and Maggie Maye (along with Kerri Lendo) are traveling to Boston’s Women in Comedy Festival, where they'll bask in the still-freezing northeastern temperatures while representing Austin as part of the WICF's impressive lineup.

Even though they’ll be performing a few thousand miles away, Amber and Maggie are letting their Austin fans in on the fun next Monday, March 7, at Cap City Comedy. They’ll be hosting “Austin to Boston: A Chick Schtick Variety Show” to raise some cash for their northeast adventures - and give away some seriously sweet prizes to their supportive fans. Bixby, Maye and Lendo will share the stage with Martha Kelly, Roxy Castillo, Allie Rolison, Donna Lee McBride, Holly Lorka, Lashonda Lester, Carey Moore and Kath Barbadoro, and promise sketch comedy, video clips and even a few musical numbers in addition to stand up sets.

Show up for the laughs and stick around for a chance to win Kevin Nealon tickets, a free tattoo or piercing from Black Cat Tattoos, improv classes and tickets from Coldtowne Theater and The New Movement, a guest list spot at SXSW Comedy events or, if you’re really lucky, dance aerobic lessons from Maggie Maye and Kerri Lendo.
