For the last five years, synth gear heads have congregated to display, discuss and tinker with analog synthesizers at the Annual Austin Analog Synthesizer Party. It's a wonderful opportunity for analog hobbyists and enthusiasts to meet up and trade insider knowledge on a wide array of equipment, processors and DIY tips. This year, the meet-up coincides with the first anniversary of Switched On, a music electronics store on East 11th Street and the go-to place for your Moog and drum machine fix.

To celebrate, Switched On is throwing a party. The synth soiree begins with the sixth AAASP at 3pm this Saturday in the front room of the Victory Grill, and is followed by a concert in the back beginning at 5:30. Some of Austin's best synth-driven acts will perform: The Synth Freq, Missions, Bodytronix and S U R V I V E. DJs Dylan Cameron and Seth Nemec will spin some beats, as well.
